How the Extension Works
When you use AdMuffler:
- The extension analyzes web pages locally in your browser
- Ad blocking happens entirely on your device
- Filter lists are stored locally

Local Storage
AdMuffler may store minimal preferences locally in your browser (such as your whitelist settings and blocking mode). This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the extension.
Third-Party Services
AdMuffler does not integrate with or share data with any third-party services. We do not include analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind.
Browser Permissions
AdMuffler requests the following browser permissions:
- Active Tab: To block ads on the current page
- Web Request: To intercept and block ad requests
- Storage: To save your preferences locally
These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and do not enable any data collection.
Children's Privacy
AdMuffler does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including users under the age of 13. Since we collect no data, there is no risk of children's data being compromised.
